Stuck With School Aims

Tailored support and relevant guidance for families who are stuck with school.

Representation in communications and meetings.

A SWS community that gives a voice to parents and carers through inclusive events.

More accessible and affordable screening and assessments for neurodiverse children and young people.

Regular engagement with key stakeholders to focus their attention on why local families are stuck with school.

Ensure stakeholders understand that families who are stuck with school require positive action, clarity and better outcomes.

Encourage stakeholders to take action and responsibility.

Address failures to adequately support senior leaders and teachers to recognise and relate to neurodiverse students.

Collaborate with likeminded experts and professionals to create resources and training on neurodiversity for schools.

Establish a safe and non-judgemental forum where neurodiverse children and young people can explain how it feels to be stuck with school.

Use examples and experiences of the SWS community to show why the current model is broken at a national level.

Challenge the systematic discrimination of neurodiverse children and young people in schools.

Promote the advantages of educating children and young people in a new model where they are all included and able to thrive.
